Submissions
Vinspire Publishing is open to submissions in the following categories:
Highlander romances—These stories must be rich in Scottish history, pulling the reader into the time period. Word count should be at least 70,000
Fantasy, paranormal, and science fiction romances—Vampires, wizards, witches, ghosts, and most paranormal/fantasy beings are acceptable with the exception of demons or fallen angels.
If you choose to create a world, please make sure it is vivid for the readers and you adhere to the rules of the world. No fan fiction or worlds used in other novels, movies, or television will be accepted.
Word count starts at 50,000.
Science fiction without romance—We are actively looking for stories that take us inside the world of sci-fi. Space battles, alien invasions, and undiscovered territories are all welcome. These stories do not have to include a romantic element. Word count should be at least 40,000.
Romantic Suspense—the element of suspense should be strong and involve the hero and heroine on every level. The stories must be contemporary, but the location is open. Word count should be at least 50,000.
Please note that romances should not contain any graphic language, extreme violence, or sex. To clarify, extreme violence includes excessive blood or gore.
Please note that submissions outside the above referenced genres will not be considered.
To submit your work to Vinspire Publishing, please send a detailed query, which should include a brief biography, at least two paragraphs about the book within the body of the e-mail, and your publishing credits, if any, to vrpsubmissions@gmail.com. Please attach the first three chapters of your book in rtf format only to the e-mail.
Make sure your name, address, a valid e-mail address, and telephone number are included with your query. Please do not include any other attachments beyond the firs three chapters of your manuscript. If, after reviewing your query and partial, we are interested in seeing more, we will ask that your full manuscript be e-mailed to us.
