Joan
Poynton, a young operative for British Intelligence, seeks the help of
Daniel Childress, attached to the US embassy in Paris, to extricate a
French professor of physics just prior to the downfall of France. In the
midst of the war and perilous escape from Allied territory, Joan and
Daniel find a love which will be sorely tested. Will it survive until
the war is over and the world is free from the tyranny of Hitler's boot?
